Decks 30" or higher above grade, supporting a roof or over a basement area.

Detached garages more than 1000 square feet of area or any garage attached to a residence.

Swimming pools 24" or more in depth.

Utility sheds more than 120 square feet of floor area and less than 1000 square feet of floor area do not require a building permit, however, do require a zoning permit.

Fences may not be installed in easements or right of ways. Fences must be a minimum of 1' inside the property line, no higher than 6' and may not affect sight distances of intersections. The township does not regulate which side of the fencing must face the adjacent properties. Call the zoning office for specifics on permitted fence placement.

Utility sheds may not be placed in an easement or right of way. Call the zoning office for specifics on permitted shed placement.

Swimming pools may not be located in the front yard and all pools are required to have a barrier surrounding the pool having a minimum height of 48".

All decks require a Zoning Permit.
