Great American Cleanup Description: Volunteers are needed!! Harborcreek Township Supervisors Joe Peck, Dean Pepicello, and Tim May are pleased to announce that Saturday, April 30th, we are participating in the Great American Cleanup. Any resident, community group, youth group, and professional group that would like to participate is invited to call Connie Cruz or Dean Pepicello at Harborcreek Township at 899-3171 to reserve their road and register the total number of participants. 8:00am [8:00am] Spring Clean-up Description: You may drop off acceptable ferrous (iron & steel) and non-ferrous (aluminum, tin, copper, brass ,etc.) metals.  Appliances containing Freon will not be accepted (see list). Township residents are asked to bring items to the township municipal building from 8am - 4pm weekdays, and 8am - 4pm on the weekends. [8:00am] Tire and Car Battery Drive Description: The Harborcreek Fire Department is having its tire and Car Battery Drive. A donation is required. Regular car tires will be $3, trucks - $5, tractors - $8. Car batteries will be $2. Fifty cents extra for a tire with rim. $2 per tire if more than ten tires. [9:00am] Community Shred Event Description: A communitywide shred event will be held at the Municipal Building. Harborcreek Township has contracted with Shred-X of Erie to destroy our residents old paper documents. There is no cost to you for this service. [9:00am] Indoor Flea Market Description: The Harborcreek Volunteer Fire Dept. is having an indoor flea market and garage sale on Saturday, April 30 from 9am till 4pm at their Social Hall. [10:00am] Unwanted Prescription Drugs Description: The Erie County Sheriffs’ Office and The Erie County District Attorneys Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public another opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your medications for disposal to Harborcreek Township Building at 5601 Buffalo Road. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. [1:00pm] An Afternoon in the Village Description: On Saturday, April 30, 2011, the Harborcreek Historical Society will host 'An Afternoon in the Village' at Old Station One at 6855 Buffalo Road, Harborcreek.The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a light lunch and beverages.Bring your own teacup to experience an old-time get-together and conversations about township culture.There will be guided walking tours of the village and a slide show of township landmarks and buildings. The event is open to members and non-members.
