Six Mile Creek Park Update
The Harborcreek Township's Parks Department has been busy since late last fall in building an entrance and access road for Six-Mile Creek Park. The approximately 900 foot road (located on Clark Road approximately 1/4 mile west of Depot Road) and parking lot for over 20 cars is roughed in with much more work still to be done. Additional work includes installing guide rails along the drive, plantings near the parking lot, paving the road and parking lot, and construction of a handicap accessible trail. We ask for all users of the park to respect the neighbor's properties bordering the park when visiting.

Harborcreek Township is offering FREE tennis lessons to Harborcreek youth ages 10-16 who would like to learn the basic fundamentals, techniques, and rules of the game. This program will be held Monday - Friday from 9 to 11am at the Harbor Creek High School Tennis Courts. The program begins Monday, June 10th and runs through Wednesday, July 3rd. Please call 899-3171 to register.

Harborcreek Township Parks Department has recently completed refurbishing the existing walking trails behind the township building, adjacent to Municipal Drive heading towards Community Park. See the photos here.

Compost is available from the township. The cost is $10 a load for pickup or $25 delivered. Call the township at 899-3171 and ask to speak with Krista to schedule a time.

Hudson Lofts
A new 4 story, 61 unit student housing land development plan is presently under review by the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors. The housing development will be located on the east side of Station Road, approximately 650 feet north of Knowledge Parkway.

A new Niagara Car Wash land development was granted final approval on March 20, 2013. This new two bay automatic car was will be located at 4076 Buffalo Road and is scheduled for construction in June 2013.

A new Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home land development plan was granted final approval on March 20, 2013. The 11,264 sq. ft. home will be located at 5151 Buffalo Road and shall include a new crematory and garage. Construction is scheduled to begin early summer of 2013.

Dollar General, 4268 East Lake Road has been granted final land development approval and is scheduled to begin construction in the spring, 2013.

Arneman Place, a 50 unit multi-family housing development was granted final approval on June 20, 2012. This development will be located on a new road called Arneman Court extendeding south of Iroquois Ave. just east of Nage Road. Construction of the new road is presently underway with the housing development to begin thereafter.

Giant Eagle, Inc has been granted final approval for a new GetGo Convenience Store and Gas Pumps on property presently holding the Stinson retail plaza west of Walgreens on Buffalo Road. Construction has began Spring of 2013.

The New Giant Eagle Plaza has been granted final approval for a new 12,165 sq. ft. restaurant and retail space on property that presently holds an oil change business east of Taco Bell. Construction began in Spring 2013.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Supervisors of Harborcreek Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania will receive bids for the Harborcreek Township 2013 Paving Project No. 3 until 9:00 A.M., prevailing time, on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the Harborcreek Township Municipal Building, 5601 Buffalo Road, Harborcreek, PA16421, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.The proposed work will consist of the asphalt paving of approximately 1,600 feet of two lane roadway on Bartlett Road Extension and Dodge, Orchard and Prendergast Streets.
Contractdocuments, including drawingsandtechnicalspecifications, may be reviewed at the office of the Harborcreek Township Supervisors.Copies of the contract documents may be obtained by submitting a non-refundabledepositof $25.00to Harborcreek Township for each set of contract documents so obtained or by calling (814) 899-3171.Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record with the Owner as having obtained the contract documents.
A Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the bid shall be submitted with each bid.A bid submitted without a Bid Bond will be rejected.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
