The Shades Beach Boat Launch project is at an END!

Although there are a few amenities left to install, the boat launch is open.

Improvements Project

The township recently made significant improvements to the park:
  • Constructed new large picnic pavillion.
  • New (ADA) playground equipment.
  • Entrance roadway construction.
  • Parking facilities.

Construction of the boat-launch facility consists of:
  • Construct four (4) boat launches; including an area for small crafts, such as jet skis.
  • Construct two (2) breakwalls for a safe harbor.
  • Improvement to the beach area.
  • Improve public access, including ADA accessibility to the Lake Erie Shoreline.
